The roosts and poop boards can be removed for easy cleaning. Sand on 3/4 of the floor. underneath whole floor is linoleum.

Excelsior nesting pads that I got from eggcartons.com. I was using shavings but the girls kicked most out onto the floor. Since adding the pads, no more mess on the floor.

Added a/c as it is hot here in AZ!! Girls figured out that it was cooler to hang out inside during our hot summers. They also dust bathed in the sand inside.
Shavings in nest boxes before a fellow BYCer suggested the nesting pads.

Usually they free-range during the day but there is enough room for them to be confined while introducing new chickens etc.. Need a lot of air circulation during hot summers here.

Be sure to plan adequate roosting space and predator-proofing.
