Bull Riding

I like talking BULL too, but that has nothing to do with the PBR, however I knew many that after a couple PBR's could talk up a storm, but that has nothing to do with Bullriding either.

Check out 8 Seconds a movie from early 90's(young Luke Perry) so has to be a little old.

I still love to watch it but my hubby doesnt. He used to ride but has just gotten a little to old and had to have 4 pins put in his shoulder after getting hung up during a ride. I actually met him online and the first time we met was when he went to ride at a local fair rodeo. He got thrown and alsmost stepped on. The picture in the local paper the next day shows the bull leaning over his shoulder and it looked like the bull was going to give him a kiss on the cheek. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital to meet him..lol That ws 8 yrs ago. I always dreamed of having a cowboy for a hubby and my dream came true. He works with horses on the little spare time he has ( not much since he is always helping me with pens for my birds) and loves it. He has a pair of tennis shoes that he has had since he was in high school. He will only wear cowboy boots when out in public and will ABSOLUTELY not wear anything other then wrangler cowboy cut jeans..lol I met him at the end of his riding career but have heard a lot of stories. We spent our honeymoon in Vegas at the national rodeo finals and had a blast. We met a lot of the different riders and Tom remebered riding with a lot of them when they were just starting out. He rode in Germany when he was stationed there for the army and then in Texas and Washington. It is a very rough sport and makes you feel old long before your time.. I still love him and would support him if he ever got back in!!! Jenn

I have watched it some, in fact for a minute just last night. My brother and two cousins used to bullride, just locally.
My cousin got hurt, really bad...ICU for 2 weeks...still has problems...so that kinda waned for them. It is just nerve wracking for me to watch. I definitely can't watch the "poker game!!" I set on the couch and pray for them..holler ...and try to tell them to run...LOL..

I enjoy watching other rodeo sports though....calf roping, barrel racing...etc...

Scrambled I should have known you would be here talking about tight jeaned cowboys. LOL

Sat. Nite is PBR night at my house. My DH never watched in his life until he met me. But he knows - if its on - we are watching. When my dish network quit carrying OLN (back in the day) I switched dish companies. When that one dropped OLN as well, fortunately for me cable came thru. Thought I was going to have to sell the house and move to another location. Now its Versus. Hope this is their permanant home.

PBR RULES - And yeah, tight jeans, cute cowboys.
I use to keep my own stat sheet on the bulls and riders. Thank goodness PBR has all that on there website.

And for all us old timers - it sure has grown.

So anytime anyone wants to talk PBR - I will be more than happy to listen.
