Bullied chicken lethargy and poop

Her abdomen feels hard on left and right side and twitching? I gave her some watermelon that she is eating slowly but well

I’m reading the swollen abdomen posts. Im a little afraid to poke at her too much. I don’t want to hurt her.

If she's bullied, she may be starving if they keep her away from the feeder. Give her some sugar water to drink. One teaspoon in a cup of water.

This might perk her up. If so, she may just need food.

If she doesn't perk up, then she may be being bullied because she is sick. We'd need a lot more information to try to figure out what to treat.

She’s been withdrawn for months, keeps separate from the others. Only in the last week she has been choosing to hide from the others rather than just avoid them generally.

She moves slowly and deliberately not weak, just cautious.
I may have missed it, but when was her last egg?

I agree, with @azygous I'd get her hydrated and eating. The bullying may well be because she's sick. Check her over for lice/mites, see that her crop is emptying. Get a fecal float to see if worms are part of the problem.

Moving slow and deliberately-cautiously - maybe a reproductive issue. Does she seem to see o.k.?

Thank you! I’ll try that today and update. She did drink a lot of water when I sat with her yesterday.

thank you! I don’t know when her last egg was. I have 8 chickens and have been getting 5-7 eggs daily. It’s been extremely hot here for the last week. But she’s the only one with issues. Checking her crop? I’ll investigate how and lice or mites, same. I haven’t researched those things yet. I’ll do the fecal float too. I’m glad for any directions i can look into. I’ll try and report back.

Thank you for all the good suggestions and great insights. After having these chickens for 2 years without any major issues I realized I know very little about my flock And I have much to learn😳. We did decide to cull her. I did not notice any infestation. She was not laying. Her diarrhea was becoming more severe. She still seemed very alert but moving slowly. I now know where their crop and abdomen is and how to check them 😁😅. I need to keep an better eye on the rest of my girls for now. Thank you again for all your help.
