Bully

We have a flock of 8. 2 RIRs (9 months old), 2 golden comets (4.5 months) and 4 EEs (6 weeks old). My one RIR bullies everyone. She goes out of her way to peck and chase everyone except the other RIR. The EEs are separate but my RIR will reach through their pen and peck and pull feathers out. Everyone is afraid of her and of course she is my best layer. If one of my EEs is a roo, will that help? Should I try secluding her?

How long has she been bullying? How long has she known the birds she is picking on ? My SLW and NHR bullied the ducks when they first came but that must have been dominance cause the SLW only pecks them on the head if they annoy her (the drake will do that on purpose).the NHR ignores them

The comets have been fully integrated for around 2 months. The chicks have been insight but seperate for 2.5 weeks.

Hmmm so it should not be dominance. I would try separating her for a week then putting her back, if she doesn’t improve after a day or two of being put back I would consider rehoming

I have a smaller premade coop that I could move her to permanently if I had to. She is our best and currently only layer. Our other RIR is broody and sitting on some fertilized eggs.
