I have an 11-month old Easter Egger cockerel that has bumblefoot. I have examined his foot and it does not seem to have any distinct "black scab" (or scab period) that would indicate a point of entry by some foreign object.
I was wondering if there were any non-surgical solutions that any of you could suggest. Further examination of his foot might reveal an entry point, but if I can't find one, then I really don't want to just take a scalpel and dig around in his foot for a splinter.
I will upload pictures as soon as I can.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
