Bumblefoot - I am at a loss

Hey everyone - some good news.

Our drake started hurting the ducklings, so we killed him (ok, not so good news, but bare with me), and when I looked underneath his feet, what did I see... Smooth, flawless skin! Our bumblefoot surgery year back really cured him permanently.

And to top it off, I've looked under our latest ducklings's feet when they've been lying down and stretching - and they don't have bumblefoot either!
