She's got a blanket over her cage & I'm not messing with her today. Hopefully she'll start chowing down soon
Definitely nothing to lose. I have more than enough pills anyway.

I feel for ya. We had to open up abscesses on my cat a couple weeks ago and I made my husband do it while I held her. It hurt my stomach to hurt her.....She's got a blanket over her cage & I'm not messing with her today. Hopefully she'll start chowing down soon

I've been bugging poor Kathy over PM.Waiting on Kathy and her magic numbers. I'm not a medical expert at all, but agree with @CayugaJana that most likely the medication has degraded over the past 10yrs so 1 pill may be close to correct for 1 dosage. I'm sure Kathy has input on that.
Notes I have for Amoxicillin for birds is 150-175mg/kg given 1-2times a day if that helps.
Do you have a helper?
I've been bugging poor Kathy over PM.Yes, I will.
Since I just got done with 14 days of antibiotics pills, twice a day...on two ducks, I think I can offer up some tips. 1st - does she's gooble up anything you put in your hand? Or is she slow to grab out of your hand, almost like she must inspect it first before taking it?Five times. He makes it look so easy.
