I just finished up her soak and applied iodine. I got some of the scab off but there's another part that won't come off, & I tugged pretty hard.Baby steps... Start by removing the scab. No harm in that
I don't want to be aggressive with it at all but I don't know how much time I have. I should not have started the antibiotics.I have always gave the scab time to pull up easily instead of pulling before ready to keep from damaging healthy skin. It sometimes takes more than a few days of using the iodine and soaking before you can get the scab off by using your finger nail to gently pull it off. Of course up to you how aggressive you want to be doing this..
In many cases Vets will proscribe antibiotics before they do any real surgery to first fight infection and then continue .I don't want to be aggressive with it at all but I don't know how much time I have. I should not have started the antibiotics.![]()
