Bumblefoot in a Silver Appleyard duck

Hello....:frow
I got the info... He said depending on the infection in this case...?
Injectable antibiotic is possibly the best course..Penacilin or the stronger of the two is Terracycyclin..? Or how ever you spell it?..lasts 5 days..He advised a Vet is your best bet and not Backyard helpers..:gig...I knew that..:th
Best wishes..:hugs
Thank you! I am amazed you two managed to catch each other before 2040 rolled around, lol. Vet help would sure be nice, but I'm not re-mortgaging my house to do it.

:lau :yuckyuck I was going to reply: That's easy for him to say! He IS a vet, so he obviously has access to one! The rest of us have to pay a fortune to see one, and that's if we can even find a vet to see our birds! :barnie

And then we have to drive 19 hours to get there. :barnie
:hugs...Best wishes...At least I tried and followed through..:highfive:
You sure did, thank you! :hugs

Do what I do and become friendly with a Vet that will give info over the phone rather than seeing everything..This one gives me advise without seeing them unless too serious for him to just pass information...
That's awesome! My local vet (the one I take my dog to), his exact words when I asked him if he sees chickens or ducks were, "Let's hope you never need a vet for your birds, because chances are, if you're calling me, it's too late."
Notice he never answered my question?

That's a good idea. Maybe I'll call up the local vet and say "Hi, can I be your friend?" :gig

It was the same Vet used by my friend but secretary said its confidential info..I laughed...:lau..Did not know Ducks were so confidential?..I guess they can be..Anyways it was a bunch of hoop jumping and my legs are tired..lol..He is the Best Vet and laughs when ever I call him..:gigHe says this " Oh, its you"...:th:idunno
Sound like I might call him too much? :idunno :lau
