Cut it out. I am soaking and putting iodine on first in hopes that it will either make it easier to open or draw some yuck closer to the surface. That's great! So what are you going to do about the possible pus plug?

Your on the right track...Best wishes..Cut it out. I am soaking and putting iodine on first in hopes that it will either make it easier to open or draw some yuck closer to the surface.
Soaks will help soften, and they might help draw the infection to the surface, so that's a good thing to do. What I worry about is delaying the cutting because keeping her on antibiotics too long could cause a yeast infection, and for that you would need to buy another one or two somewhat expensive drugs.Cut it out.
