Hi everyone, I've got a hen who's got a mild case of Bumblefoot right now. There will be a picture of her foot attached. I noticed this a few days ago. There doesn't seem to be much swelling and the scab is pretty small. I did take the scab off when I first noticed it, but there wasn't any visible plug underneath. It was just a scale. She gets a 15 minute warm epsom salt bath every day. I have been cleaning her foot after her soaks with betadine and applying antibiotic ointment (no painkillers) on gauze every day. Her vet wrap is changed daily. I do have Aqua-Mox on hand if necessary. My biggest question is what to do if there isn't a plug? Any help is very much appreciated, this is the first time any of my girls have gotten Bumblefoot.

Thank you!

Just keep doing what you are doing. That one being so small and shallow, it will very likely heal up with topical treatments. But it can be a slow process, sometimes those smaller ones seem to take longer. No need for the aqua-mox for this.
