Bumblefoot?

Hi! I just notices my hen was walking a little bit off, so i picked her up and saw little scabs, bumblefoot?? Getting pictures now. What do I have to do?

Looks like Bumblefoot to me. I'd treat non-surgically.

Could it be something else? How would she get this? Where do I get vecitran? (Not sure how you spell it.) How do I make sure thats what it is?

Bumblefoot is infection of the foot that has entered through a scratch, cut, scrape, etc.

You can find Vetericyn at feed stores like TSC or online.

Okay thank you! How long does it take to recover, is she going to be able to scratch outside? It has been raning lots lately so not sure if that could be some of the problem...

Check the roosting bars and chicken ladders for dirt and splinters, they should be clean and smooth.
What kind of bedding do you use in the coop and how thick is it spread out?

The roosting bars are both clean and smooth, as we painted them.
We dont use any bedding, but when winter starts we put down pine shavings.

The only reason im not sure its bumblefoot, is because it does not have like a hole I guess for a infection to get in. My thought is a blister, because its been really rainy and muddy lately. I just want to be sure if its bumblefoot or not.
