Noticed this bump today. Any ideas? Normal weight. Behaving normally. No unusual breathing sounds or anything. I added electrolytes to water, 2 drops of vet rx in water too. 2 drops of warmed vet rx under her wings for good measure.

Does it feel hard or fairly soft? The location is sometimes one for a sinus infection, such as MG or coryza, but it could also be a cyst or tumor. Does she sneeze, cough, gasp, or have any bubbles or foam in her eye?

Didn't touch it, I'll do that in the morning but it looked soft. She has no other symptoms. She's normal weight, sounds and acts normal. Added electrolytes to water and put some warm vet rx under her wings and 2 drops in water. Any suggestions?

Vet Rx won’t hurt, but it doesn’t really cure anything. It contains herbal oils (oregano, rosemary, camphor, and pine oil) which is similar to Vicks. If the lump is soft, that sounds more like pus inside the sinus cavity. If it is hard, it may be a tumor. If a respiratory disease, I would think that you would be seeing some bubbles or foam in the eye, nasal drainage, or sneezing.

Try to keep as clean and hygienic coop as possible. If it is from inhaling particles, hopefully it will clear up.

If it is an abcessed infection developing, it may require lancing to drain it and or antibiotics.

She couldve gotten pecked by another hen and it swelled up, I've had it happen. "IF" that's the case, it will need to be lanced and drained, like water on the knee. An antibiotic may or may not be necessary but it would be best to have some amoxicillin standing by just in case.
