Bump on chickens leg

I just noticed this bump on my chickens leg. Any idea what it may be?
I’m planning on catching her and soaking her feet in some water with either epson salt or permethrin.

That's a spur! Perfectly normal, and nothing to worry about.

It does look like a spur, some hens get them.

That’s a relief. It is only on one of her feet though, which had me worried.
My guesses were that it’s a maggot, mite or alien pod.

Nope, no aliens! Some hens get full sized spurs, some get just little nubs, some only get one. If you look closely at your hens you will likely find that all will have a tiny spot/nub on the leg where a spur would be. Most of them never grow spurs, but some do. I've only had a few hens with spurs. Some breeds are more likely for hens to have them.
