This little cutie is 12 days old. He is the lone hatchling from eggs set by my broody Splash Jersey Giant hen. He's been just fine until I snatched him up early this morning to get some updated pictures. These little bumps do not appear to be itchy or painful at all, he's not scratching at them, he's eating and drinking fine, and there are absolutely no other symptoms. Thoughts? Sorry the pic is blurry, I had trouble getting it to focus. The bumps are across the eyes, only, not on top of the head and I do not see them elsewhere, either:

The only thing I can think of - is it possible he's having an allertic reaction to the shavings or something? These are hardwood shavings, I do have softwood ones that can switch out to; guess if I can't figure anything out, I'll try that. Thanks for looking!
