Yes, females can live together if properly acclimated or if they were littermates. I was just trying to make the point that you couldn't just throw 2 girl bunnies together and hope for the best.

Yes, he is just over a year and is very lonely when he is not with his girlfriend. We have had 2 litters... We are thinking about getting him a friend, or possibly one of his sons can stay with him

Bunnylady said it best. Two or more rabbits kept together can get along just fine. Until they don't. Then it can get pretty bloody.
