My favorites are Holland Lops, but I love a lot of other breeds too! We also had Himmies and loved them too, but when breeding them, got tired of the smut we got due to the cold winters here. Love the big Flemish, English Lops and other giant and laid back breeds, just don't have room for them right now. If I were going to have a house bunny, I think I would have something like that.

We have also have had mini lops, havana's, polish, california's, new zealand whites, english lop, himalayans and a few others.

Here are a couple of our current bunnies:

love your bunnies i have always wanted one like your Tan colored lop. My bunny use to look like the black one but age has gotten to her and her fur is now really dull and turning brown

We have cold winters here too but the Himmies are soooo laid back and make good starter rabbits for kids. My daughter is 5 and handles them well

lol I love flemish too. They are soooo big! But like you I don't have the room. Aren't bunnies great?

Im still new to raising rabbits and have 18 does and 3 bucks. Here is what i raise new zealands which ive raised the longest, Mini rex and holland lops and might be getting 3 netherland dwarfs tommorrow. I love the fur on the mini rex but hate there nails . My holland are the mellowest rabbits in the barn. New zealand are ok but there white coat is a little boring. But ive got a market here for them so they stay. Have a look at them on my webpage

We have two old himmie's left from when we used to breed them. The female is really smutty but the male is not bad at all, they are 9, I believe. My 9 year old claimed the male as his and has been hauling him around since he was about 3. He used to put him in the trailer behind his John Deere pedal tractor and pull him around and that silly bunny loved it and would just ride around with him without trying to get out. He loves nothing more than to be held or played with.

Here is a pic my 9 year old took last month for his 4-H project of his himmie and our boston together.
