The white ones are getting BIG!!

Yeah it is hard to believe that they are only 2 1/2 weeks old. They can already fly out of their cage and they run loose in the coop a lot.

How are your chicks doing? They must be getting big.

Well, one died from leg issues and one just disappeared.
I later found it under the card boar that I set in their wire bottomed brooder.

So, I'm down to 4. + the 3 from the earlier hatch. + my one silkie chick. + my 6 hatchery bantam buff cochins. So, yeah. Not 4.

I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Ive also got 9 bourbon reds, 2 barred rock hens, 3 light brahma hens, 5 RIR hens, an ISA brown rooster, Two bantam roosters, and one pekin drake.
Soon I hope to get quail(watching creigslist) more ducks(my cousin is trying to hatch some) D'clays, silkies, and maybe pheasants.

That is a lot of birds!!! Are you raising your turkeys for meat?
Cool, I really want ducks but I can't have them right now. I have a friend who does a lot of hatching and I am hoping she can hatch me some ducks soon though.

Only the poultry! How many other animals do you have?

No, for breeding. I'm gonna try and start a small hatchery. Turkeys and bantam buff cochins come first.

Well, just one Horford heifer and a dog but soon I'll be getting pigs, sheep, and maybe a lama.



Ducks aren't really my thing but neither are overgrown ponds. so Ducks, Here I Come!!! XD
