Buns!!

Just thought I'd share our pretty baby buns!

Momma Buns had 13 buns 3 days ago. Two were born on the wire and didnt make it but the other 11 are doing great. Doe is an American and Buck is a Holland Lop.

wow. the size difference in them is amazing. or maybe it is an optical illusion because of the camera angle.
how do they fit so many in themselves?
will she be feeding them, or do you plan on feeding them?
That's a lot of mouths to feed.

There is a big size difference, half of them are bigger than the other half. Momma was bred twice, 8 hours apart. Apparently made a big difference.
She is feeding them all, they all have nice round belly's. No guarantees they will all make it but so far so good.

There is a big difference in size in just a few days. Mine were born last Friday at 3:00 am. Aren't they fun to watch them and see how they grow? I am noticing some color changes now at 1 week old.

Holland lops carry one dwarf gene and one normal gene. That could be why some of them are much smaller than others, they might have teh dwarf gene from teh holland lop.
