I had a local Feed Store 3 miles from my house that had a little higher prices than two others that were 20 minutes away. It was worth it to me, to pay a little extra to travel less. I consider my time as valuable as the gas money to go farther. Plus, it was run by people that have the animals for hands-on advise. The other two hire young people that don't always know one chick from another.
The local store was having trouble staying in business and ready to close, so a customer and her husband bought it from original owner on contract to keep it open. Stayed open a year then original owner declared bankrupcy that included the business property.
Closed 6 months ago and I sure miss it.
