Thats why I want the yorkshire in there.....I heard they are one of the longest pigs and so you get a lot of bacon and chops. We are gonna get 2-3 so I may just get one of each. The yorkshire/duroc are $65 each. The yorkshire/berkshire are $100 each and he says they are fair pigs. What does that matter though don't fair pigs just get butchered too mostly? Same person has both available for sale.

lol they both have yorkshire thats not the decision to make but I think I have made it. The one that has the most yorkshire also has the berkshire, best of both worlds.

first of how old are the pigs, how much do they weigh, barrs or guilt

those prices seem a little steep to me for feeder pigs

what you get out of them will depend on what you put in them

we just bred a hamp to a york if she took

I will let you know how that turns out

The york/berks are said to be fair pigs by the owner and wants $100....I am assuming all sexes and just weaned.

The york/duroc are said to be the ones they owner would sell for meat and asking $65......I am assuming all sexes and just weaned as well.

I hope she took for you, they will make some good piglets.

Sounds high to me too for weaners. Around here they are usually mixed breed, but I've paid from 15 to 35 bucks each, depending on the year and market.

Actually most people are selling their pigglets for $80-90 range. The one they suggest I get for meat york/duroc are on the low side....lowest I have seen around here for any pigglets.

Maybe one of each decisions decisions.

I seen some on craiglist in seattle tonight for $125 each....can't remember the breed but I don't recall nothing fancy about them.

Can you do snail mail MFB? They would still be cheaper. Maybe I should look at the auctions? They were pretty cheap last year when we looked once....we don't usually go to them. We had just stopped in for a few that day cause we were going by when auction was going to check it out.
