Button habitat question.

Would it be a terrible and bad idea to put a water feature in my button quail aquarium? I think I know the answer, but I love water features.

It sure would be pretty! I think it would be fine as long as it was less than 1 inch deep at deepest point. And not much surface area. Are you thinking a waterfall? Also, if they raise chicks this would be bad!

yes, they have raised chicks before, but I always put her in a separate encloser to brood.

It would be pretty cute but definetly messy and you would have to clean it more often. Also it would have to be pretty shallow so the don’t drown!

As already mentioned, would be cool but not really the best way of making a great habitat for them to survive.
Chicks can drown in a 1/4" of water....I know, had that happen.
It would require alot of maintenance to keep clean. I like the idea your trying to find a way to make their enclosure more inhabitable.
