Button Quail-Day 16-Hatching! Photos!

I am on my last hatching of the season-25 button quail eggs in the bator. I've got some pips, and should see those little "popcorn" chicks popping out any time! Will post pics asap.

My guys are almost 2 weeks old now and STILL tiny! I had a single silkie egg I was test incubating that hatched today (1 of 1 - first 100% hatch...) and that tiny baby silkie is huge compared to the buttons - and those buttons already have their feathers growing in! I've got the silkie in with them in the brooder since he's a lonely chick at the moment. He's settled right in with them.

I only have 17, and half are males, but they're all different colors. They just started laying eggs about a week ago! They are so beautiful... they're flighty, but the colors are mesmerizing. Well worth the wait.

Congrats on your pips and chicks maybe by now. I had 22 coturnix hatching last night. Never thought its that hard to count them all, they roll all over the place.
