button quail eggs. please help

Wow thats so sad. They die of a broken heart... I'll try to find a way to just keep two i just need to know how to tell the difference between female male early on. Thanks for all the information and advice. I'm now on day 10 so i believe i have 6 to 7 days left.
 
Dc is only giving he/her opinion and we all should be respectful of that, we are all allowed to make our own decisions about how to best raise these birds and all "pet" or animals in our care.

If you did your research before getting buttons there are two sides to every story. Mostly from specialists in the field; Gerry Landry and Jodi McDonald. I have also seen scientific studies and will always keep my birds in single pairs, like they life in the wild and Jodi's belief as well. I know you can have more then one pair in a large enclosure but most people keep them in aquriums of small hamster cages. It is then that I think they should be kept in pairs only. Groups will and can do fine in a large enclosure but there will be some troubles given enough time. But like I started out saying it is up the the individual bird owners to give the best care they can and each is intitled to his or her opinion on that.

I agree! I have them in a huge cage, so they do have lots of space. Yup, they are pretty cute in pairs too!

Best of luck! I want to see pictures of them when they hatch!!
