Button quail emergency

never had quail, but saved some sick chickens. i know they are probably different, but if they aren't, please let me know. i would love to help. ( at least keep her comfortable.)

Ah. That would explain it. Button quail are a sub-tropical species. They can't handle freezing temperatures without heat. It does mean that she is likely to recover as long as she doesn't end up out in the cold again.

Ok. That's my fault, I read somewhere that they could handle a little below 0. The heat is now on in their coop.

Coturnix quail can handle freezing temperatures as long as they're dry and have shelter from wind. Buttons are a different story.
