I woke up to 1 of my quails dead and three missing

The one that died had a leg problem. And the ones that are missing probably somehow escaped.

Yes, i have a heat plate with them

It's been less than two weeks since she stopped. It usually takes about two week to start laying again. It can vary from bird to bird, though.

I might consider that as part of a first aid kit for an ailing bird, but it's not something I'd give regularly. I usually keep some Nutri-Drench, pain killer free antibiotic ointment and saline solution around, but that's about it.
