Buying a vacuum, best one for pets?

Dyson Animal hands down. We have 3 kids, 2 dogs, 6 cats, and several chickens in the brooders and live on the north wind side of a thousand acres of dry grasslands. I vacuume daily. Our last one lasted 8 years .
Worth. Every. Penny.

Definitely Dyson. Prior to my Dyson I bought a Bissell supposedly meant especially to pick up pet hair. It was worthless!! It jammed constantly. The Dyson was so much more effiicient, and better engineered. I won't buy anything but Dyson from now on.

Sound like a lot of people like Dyson. My problem has always been that we have 5 little pigs living in our house. They like to drop little chunks of trash wherever they go. Is the Dyson designed to pick up little things like 1x1" pcs of cardboard that get stuck in the 90 degree turn that most vacuums have going in to the canister. I've always had to take every vacuum I've ever had apart to get stuff out of that turn in the intake. The kids will plug it up every time. Are the Dyson's pretty plug up proof?

That's why they are the best! They have these easy to remove parts, in the easiest to clog places, so you can unclog and get back to vacuuming in a jiffy! (See pics on the next page.)

My mom and sis both have Dysons and they LOVE it! But they are so costly and hopefully I will get one too!

Right now its my dust mop and hubby's ShopDry and Vac.

Yup..they are very plug up proof..
I used to ALWAYS plug up others vacs.. We used to go through like one a year..
I have only plugged up the dyson one time... and i was vacuuming up a lot straw..

And IF they do get plugged up..its EASY to get it out.. its right there in the canister..easy to grab.(just have to push a button to get the canister off.)
We've had our Dyson Animal for over 5 yrs and havent had any trouble with it at all.. its still works the same as new.

Oh remember the Phantom Fury.....I bought one when they came out, great vacuum and had mine for five years before the motor finally quit on me.
