Day 18: crest/plume! I chose the Eurasian Hoopoe. My grandma loved these little birds so I wanted to draw one. I’m not crazy about how this one turned out; I might try it again later in the month. Oh well!

Day 19: smallest in their family! I chose the masked shrike, the smallest shrike with a wingspan of around 10 inches. Tiny and cute!

Day 20: non vocal sounds! Today I did some birdwatching and spotted this pretty guy, the red bellied woodpecker. It seemed like a sign; I had to draw him! And when I found this adorable reference picture I decided to try something new and give it a go. I love how it turned out!
