BYC 2016 OTHER POULTRY TYPES CALENDAR - Pics Needed!

Blooie PLEASE PREVAIL UPON YOUR DAUGHTER, to make a video of her ducks loading up in their crates when she claps her hands. I know it would go viral!

I could try, Diva, but frankly she and I are, um, slightly estranged since she sent me these photos. Since you read my interview (and thank you for that :)) you know I sort of touched on the issue very briefly.

No prob, Diva, and thanks. It just is what it is. Been iffy since we got custody of her kids and just kinda blew up again after our great granddaughter was born this spring. It comes and goes. I just keep loving her and answering the phone if she calls. But she sure does raise healthy, beautiful ducks!

All 23 ducks and Nappy and Annie have free run in the house.  It's the oddest thing you've ever seen.  Daughter has several of those dog carriers.  She claps and the ducks head to the crates and load up.  She takes them outside for pond time and foraging.  When she's ready to bring them in, she claps her hands again and they get back into their crates and wait for their "lift" back into the house.  If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it.  Nappy and Annie are in the house all the time, though.  Guess they don't crate train as easily as ducks.  :idunno
That is so cool that the ducks put themselves into their crates. Smart birds. Would Nappy and Annie come back if they ever got out? I have heard that pigeons are very smart like that.

I wish my ducks would do that. I have to lead the 13 of them into there own with a bucket of food.
When my pigeons get out, they hang out by the coop till I can get them in. I had three get out day before yesterday. They all stayed within 10 feet of their coop.

Judt a question, could I edit my post after the deadline? I have a nice pic that I cannot upload right now but can put in by saturday. Thanks!
