"If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:" Isaiah 58:13
Some may say this doesn't apply to them, or whatever, but that's fine...too bad really, a real lose IMO. That book is great, and deep.
BTW, I don't get offended and don't want to offend anyone. But the Sabbath isn't just up to anyone, the Lord defined it.
once again... "under the law" I don't want to offend you or anyone.... just suggesting options.....

Not a problem. For me, God's law is awesome, and a blessing. Not a burden. Download Swordscript, or another, and look up "law", read all the references, do you want to do away with that? The Bible is clear about His law, unchanging, everlasting, transforming, wonderful etc.

But if your'e doing everything right, what's the point of a condeming law, that's what I get when we are not 'under the law'.

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:17-19 In fact, read Matthew Chs. 5-7

I like the analogy: There was an old western in which a man killed an innocent person. The sheriff then got a crew together to go and find ‘em, and he remarked, “Jermemy (the criminal) is now under the law, boys.” That made it very clear for me.

I am a 'study diligently, follow the Bible truth, all else is below God's authority' Christian :) There's melon to eat from every group, and likewise, seeds to discard. I'm with the Seventh-Day-Adventist now....pretty much as straight forward, Bible-based as they come....so far. At least my Church is, 'course different bodies tend to differ...ironically, sadly. How 'bout you?
That's really cool. We mostly have mostly Evangelicals over here, plus some Catholics, Mormons, Adventists, and Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm not Christian (as I said earlier), however, but leaning more towards Islam. But if I were Christian I'd likely go for the Coptic Orthodox Church.

can I ask why you are towards Islam? I'm just curious.. :)

thanks. and if anything its edifying to be supporting the outlines set froth from Mosses. And calling us to think on him that day and keeping our actions 'Holy'. Our ways and works and by living IMO one should include the Lord in everything that you do. He wants to live life with us. By doing so much of what one enjoys is doing it as unto the lord. The same for church people can attend that for self and do. Its the heart our Father loos at and the intentions. Therefore Observe the Sabath and got to Church on Sunday is like a double dose :p In fact for a long time church was held on both days.

The law still applies, not to be dismissed. We were free of the oppression under it and wrapped up in his Grace instead still following the guidance of the Law, and sacrifice is no longer needed for sin because Christ was the final Sacrifice. God never dismissed the ten commandments those are commands not law. And in our endeavor to be Christ like the law can help guide us there If anything the new testament helps clarify the old showing the application of love and compassion intermingled with it.
