Going to be a beautiful day here, too. Think we're going to head up to Santa Fe and walk around the botanical garden.
Thanks for the coffee!
Oh I live lists. I have several apps just for different lists.
My birthday's the day after Christmas, and the only birthday party I ever had was held about a month later (my mom figured everybody was pretty much partied out, between Christmas and New Year's). Celebrating when people are available makes perfect sense to me. (Even if you are bringing cupcakes to your child's school so their classmates can celebrate with them, you can pick a different date if there is a conflict).
But I hear you on the work and worry. When I was a child, we lived over a day's drive away from my grandparents, so we would stay for days when we did get to see them. I didn't understand it then, but my poor grandmother always seemed to be sick when we saw her. It was just nerves - she had a "nervous stomach," and the stress of having company was almost more than she could handle. My mother has learned that making lists of things that need to be done and checking them off help her to get a handle on the anxiety, so though she may look a bit obsessive, she can still sleep and eat. She enjoys having the company, and seems to enjoy the "fuss," so I figure, as long as she can still do it, more power to her.
OFW, I hope you all have a great time!
