A turkey or two flew into the pen.

It walked all along the back of the fence line and must have jumped back out over the human gate. I could also see a large swath of turkey tracks going through my backyard to the neighbors who put out a lick for the deer.

I had to take my car in for its annual inspection and I told them to go over everything. I was down to less than 30% of my brake pads and the rotors were delaminating. So between that and the other work I had done I had about a $900 charge.

Excellent!
You might be doing a dance with the wind to keep from getting covered in snow, but it is worth it and fun!
Thanks for the hot coffee! They say a dusting of snow here but I am seeing more sun than snow.
The ribs turned out perfect and now the chickens will have something to entertain themselves with, rib scraps and sweet potato skins.
Stay warm and dry out there, Cafe!

Shoveled about an inch off the path this morning from overnight.
~5" out of run from the 24 hour event.
It was fairly light tho not as fluffy as last time.
Supposed to get another inch or so tomorrow.
Then I'll call the plow guy on Monday.
Still having a hard time acclimating to not being able to clear the driveway myself. :(

I did a test run on the walkway. It didn't work. I think because we had a bit of sun before I tried and that must have caused the surface to melt enough to hold it in place. I just finished shoveling. Easy as far as shoveling goes.

The turkey prints on snow in your yard are fascinating. When I first look at the photo before reading your post, I thought it was some sort of art work. I have turkey come into my chicken runs, they don't leave anything artistic & fascinating like this, they leave poops. 😁
Ouch to the $900 car repair, that is hefty.

So in summer there is lawn mowing & in winter shovel snow.
I love to do lawn mowing because I like the nice smell of fresh grass cutting. Adding to my list of things to do when visit America, shovel snow. I imagine it must be very heavy shoveling snow.

Good Morning All,
I am having my first cup of coffee and resting a bit before working breakfast.
I just finished my morning chicken work and what a lot of work it was after a few days of heavy rain. As I walked slowly with each step to avoid a fall in the muddy condition, I remind myself that I love my chickens, my chickens love me.
I love my chickens and my chickens love me.
