The turkey prints on snow in your yard are fascinating. When I first look at the photo before reading your post, I thought it was some sort of art work. I have turkey come into my chicken runs, they don't leave anything artistic & fascinating like this, they leave poops. 😁
Ouch to the $900 car repair, that is hefty.
Better than spending megabucks for a new car.

So in summer there is lawn mowing & in winter shovel snow.
I love to do lawn mowing because I like the nice smell of fresh grass cutting. Adding to my list of things to do when visit America, shovel snow. I imagine it must be very heavy shoveling snow.
Depends on whether snow is dry or wet, how heavy it will be. Some folks have heart attacks while shoveling!

Well come on over!

Can you please shovel a path to the coop?

I might be one of those folks that could suffer a heart attacks doing it, but if that happen to me when I shovel snow, it would be a good way to go I imagine as I have not experience shovel snow before.

If it all like an ice block then it must be heavy and hard to shovel. I saw on tv when it reported about heavy snow in America, those snow look flaky.

Just spent $1,300 + on brakes and a multitude of other little things on my 12 year old truck. It's in great shape, low mileage, and has treated me well. I have resolved that this may be my last vehicle.
12 year old truck low mileage is a good truck. It still have a long while to go yet.
I once drove a small car for over 20 years, it was also low mileage as I took the bus to work. In the end it was having so much mechanical problems that cost more to fix so I sold it for $2000.00 to a mechanic who was happy that the car still look pretty good and he can fix all that issues himself. I got another second hand car that was 8 years old and first owner was a nun. Bless me.

3 eggs today! That hasn't happened since September 20th.

I doubt I will get any eggs tomorrow, but that's ok.
I was surprised to find 2 eggs tonight after getting 2 yesterday. I only have the 2 pullets laying. Who are really working their way up the ranks. They were roosted next to the queen tonight. Who was next to the king.

I have one hen who is still growing feathers. I have been letting her sleep in a nest box, but last night she was on the roost.

One of the oldest hens (I think she's top of the pecking order, but she's pretty laid back about it) was also sleeping in a nest box, but she is done molting. She's one of the hens laying.

Today, about an hour before lock up, I blocked off the nest boxes, thinking those two would go to roost. Nope, they are on the floor between the nest boxes.

WTH, ladies?
