After another impromptu butchering yesterday evening, I feel a bit sore inside and out.

It is wet and grey but I already have everything ready for the last batch of elderberry-applesauce to be cooked this afternoon. Best way to spend rainy end of January days.

And both dogs need a bit of thorough grooming and finger stripping, they start to look like overgrown highwaymen. Somehow they always seem to find the last of the dried up burdocks and gladly wrap them up securely in their coats to bring them home.

Another of the reasons I gravitated to the Doberman. They don't bring any flora home... except for Bella. When she brought home 2 grass seeds imbedding inside her eyelid.

Although we love Airedales dearly, the maintenance of two big furry males at the same time is slowly becoming too much for me and my rheumatism. The Dale Brothers will be our last Airedales, Ollie will be 5 in June and Finn is 3 already. How time flies!
Our next breed will be smooth coated Foxterriers again. We love the Terrier character traits.

Been all sunny and warm(mid 30's to mid 40's) the last few days with a couple nights back down to freezing. All the snow pack turning to ice. Supposed to get a half inch of rain tomorrow, if that doesn't melt the ice in the driveway I'll have to resort to salt.

Hubby is feeling very lethargic today. He has stretched out on the couch 3 times today. I hope he feels better tomorrow, poor guy.

All I got out the shots was a slightly sore shoulder.

My miniature Foxterrier is molting at the moment, his fur is just everywhere at the touch. I comb him every day and still, he looks half the size his was with full feather. He is very yappy and bark at any movement from a distance away.
