I forgot to ask if anyone watched the meteor shower last night. I did for a little while, saw about 10 shooting stars. I am guessing the weather was not nice out east of here... Happy shoveling day!

This is not a complaint:

I have not caught ANY mice in either the mudroom or the greenhouse traps I've set. Not for about 2 weeks.

Until I nabbed one this morning in the mudroom. But it got down to 6° last night, so maybe that had something to do with it. It got one toothscrape off the peanut that was jammed into the bait holder.

I am very glad to catch them in the mudroom. I'd rather there than the kitchen!

Good Morning

1st Coffee of the day is ready. Woke up 5:30am this morning and the kids were screaming. I am looking forward to winter, cool and they sleep in too so I don't have to get out so early.

It would be good if we can have a tally of winning on catching those mice. They are quite clever. At first they ate the bait without setting it off. We learned and put Aluminium foil inside of the trap's sides and ceiling because we figured they climb on the side and ceiling stealing the bait. We got them, they tried to bite off the Aluminium foil.

They toy with us by pooping everywhere around the trap without going into it. They poop on our stairs and on our cement footpath just to tell us who won! We got clever than them.

Update on lash egg hen....Mint poops solid=a good sign, but still not eat by herself=Bad. The solid mass inside her tummy=Bad, that mass is not going to disappear by itself. I need to have hope, we get there when we get there, in the mean time Mint is busy reducing the bugs population in my yard.

Yesterday I read on here BYC about tribessen, I have that at home so I might give her that this morning for 3 days, if she is not responding in the first 2 days, I know it is not working. I am resisting a bit because antibiotic is going to mess up with her immune system again.

All the mouse we got have big round adoring eyes looking at us, they are cute. I just don't like the long tails. I fear of my chickens get sick for eating their poops.

Cute or no they carry disease and crap in your birds feed. Put a contract out on him.
