Morning! A lot of smoke in the air to the North of us. Once again changing the sunlight but no smell. I bet it is thick down on the plains though. Good thing I get to go pick up DS$ and check it out myself. Wouldn't want to stress out wondering about it all day.... LOL!
Going to need more coffee and I get the chimney cleaned this AM. Well, guess I will go move stuff out of the way.

We have controlled burns here that sometimes get out of control. Those are purposefully set. I hope no one is being a deviant and burning acreage just to watch it burn! What is the likelihood that a deviant like that would be caught?

Just don't feed them avocados, apparently they are poisonous. And if chickens had such a thing as candy, it would probably be corn, so I do not let them go nuts with it, but I do feed them extra corn in the winter to help them stay warm.

Mine love fresh corn on cob. We give them each an ear once a week. Mine go crazy for bread, they will fight. So I stopped giving them that. They love chia coconut granola. We don't give them table scraps. And we've never given them meat. Is that bad?

Hubby eats mostly hamburger meat and that's bad for him. I never heard of feeding chickens hamburger, so I haven't fed them any. You said you feed yours liver, cooked or raw? We don't eat liver.

Lol it is the only bad for your hubby if he eats too much if it...and fried is not good, but hamburger itself is not unhealthy...it is all about moderation.
We do not eat liver either, that is why the chickens do, cheap feed.

Chickens are omnivores. They do like a little meat. Usually they hunt bugs and small mice and lizards. An occasional chunk of meat is good. Liver is the most nutrient dense sweetmeat.
