Krista, it sounds like you are having an awful run of bad luck. As far as the cat urine smell, it is pretty tough to get rid of. I've had cats all my life and I do have some experience in treating this issue... I have found that Borax works better than anything else I've tried. It is not fool proof however. But to use it, dampen the area and then sprinkle the borax on top and brush into the carpet. Or make a "paste" and apply to area that "smells". Let it dry for a couple of days and then vacuum it up. The Borax should absorb and neutralize the odor. However if it is in the wood...you probably aren't getting it out.

As far as children go, I have one of each. The only regret I have is that I didn't have more. I wanted to, but my husband at the time stated "What do you think you are going to get? You already have one of each." I wish I had been a stronger person then, because the correct answer should have been A CHILD! By the time I met DH it was too late to have anymore...

I didn't see it maybe they were sold out.

Have you ever gotten their solar dancing flowers and animals and stuff? I have an owl and while his head moves around his eyelids open and close. I never had one with eyelids before. I have turkeys, daisies with faces in the middle,, what they call a chick but it has webbed feet - I don't think they know what a chick is in china. I have Halloween ones, Xmas /winter ones, a graduate ,scarecrow. More solars than I have windows. Oh flying pig, elephant, I wish they'd make some dog breeds.

There is a store out here called " Five below" everything is $ 5. or less but most of their stuff is lopsided or broken. Which tells me it won't last a minute. They have wilder solars if you can find one that isn't broken. I figure I have standards and won't buy junk - only good junk and stuff.

Yep, I am sure that I can Mrs.Macgyver something for nothing! I did think it amazing that someone would actually pay a ridiculous sum for such a part. They want $250 ish for the mother board control panel. That seems a little more logical, I don't know. I just hope that I am done with fixing things for awhile.

$@%)!-wait that is $250 with my finger still on caps. I never did get the 'look at the screen not at your finger' thing down.

I hope my old dryer never dies. I like things you can fix. My husband's motto is: Take it apart, see what doesn't look right, go get that part and put a new one in. How much worse can you break it?
We apparently have to keep my 20 year old jeep forever now, because anything newer is all circuit boards and they baffle him.

My son however does, so maybe he can talk us through it on the phone.
When he goes off to college, we are not going to know how to do anything.

If you don't hear from me after July, it is because we can't figure out how to get the computer to work.
