Thanks crew :)

Here's the ones I did already...

I admit I adore the froggy print. These were for the bun that's still in the oven, who it's a mystery if it's a boy or girl. The other two already born have been girls.

On an off topic, what is it with everyone going "oh now they'll keep trying for a son they need to have another one"? I mean, the one born last week is a second daughter.

Look! You created life! Is that not amazing enough without "oh they have to try again they need a boy"

Girls are terribly under valued.
My neighbors have five girls.
I think they are great.

Boys are okay....

OH! and i really like the froggie print too. as a girl, I would have loved it.
I don't do girly well. I do not really love pink, and mauve is the color that they carpeted Hades with.

Those are very cute blankets! I am a froggie adorer too. It is really hard on the kids when they are expected to be a certain way or given certain limitations because of gender, either way. Having 4 boys, I was always asked if I wanted a girl. I would just look at them like they were nuts and say that I was blessed with four healthy kids, what more is there to ask for?
Now I have two granddaughters, go figure.

Aw man Margie. Luckily we just have ground squirrels and rabbits but they're still a pain.

Thanks Scott and drumstick. I can still clearly remember his voice saying that but was completely brainfarting on his name.

Exorcized the demons in the old sewing machine, now to make a bunch more baby blankets (seriously there's something in the water here...one friend gave birth about a month ago, another just last week, and a third is due next month. Oi! I did it all backwards though. I gotta do blankets for the ones already born - the bun still in the oven had them made for the shower already. But, one last week I missed the shower, and the one a month ago I was having issues with the sewing machine for her shower...

...and the mil is in full out granny lust mode. Sigh.)
Some Ladies handle the 'Granny lust' well and some are a flat out pain in the *ss. good Luck with your MIL!!
I have 3 Dear daughters and after #2 came along did not want a boy! He would have cost a pile of money and time, different clothes, room and, machines.
Happy with what I got!!
Scott

Prostar I love the froggies too. In fact when I am in the fabric stores I can't resist the adorable stuff for babies and kids. I do not sew but the patterns are so cheerful and fun, they speak to the child in me..

Diva, there's just no fun growing up. Says I who had muppets, angry birds, transformers, you name it band aids when I was working as a legal assistant.

Got a paper cut lawyer of mine? Here, have a cars bandaid :)

When I go in for a blood test, I always ask the phlebotomist if I can have a (child) sticker. I pick the one that says "I passed my blood test." I also leave the bandaid/gauze on trying to get all the sympathy I can . Quite a step up from when I used to faint and scare them too death.
