Time to pick blueberries!!!!Good morning all.... Coyotes were rather yippy last night...pretty close to the house, managed to wake everyone up! OFW - I still have all of the Halloween costumes I made for my children. My daughter was always some variation on a princess, including the "beautiful witch" costume. It was beautiful, but expensive to make. My son was an astronaut, pirate, pilgrim, dearth Vader and Harry Potter.... I have them all carefully packed away for the grandchildren I'll never have! Went blueberry picking yesterday, bumper crop this year, so we will be going back out this evening. Got 1 and 1/2 ice cream pails full. There is nothing better than wild blueberry jam. And I'm hoping I have enough for a pie too. Looks to be hot and sunny here today, have a great day everybody!
In Scott's case a troll is what we in the U.P. refer to when we are talking about someone who lives below the Mackinac bridge (lower Peninsula)Lol someone will need to let me know what a troll is
Nice pic....
Love lefsaWe celebrate various heritage by doing certain rituals throughout the year too. We eat lutefisk and lefsa( potato tortilla) during Christmas season, and I have my grandma's old mandolin for making sauerkraut. There is a huge Irish population here and especially in Butte where the copper mines are, and St Patrick's Day is a drunken feast day where the beer is dyed green. I hear rots that there are more Irish people here in the states than in Ireland.
I doTheir words, not mine. I don't celebrate Saint Patrick's day, or any of the other holidays so I couldn't care less what you celebrate lol. Really most holidays are just an excuse to get drunk and eat food are they not? Christmas for example; how many people actually celebrate it as the birth of Christ?
You celebrate the shortest day of the year.....More so in America yes, but here not so much. We celebrate winter solstice instead in my family![]()

Now that there is funnyanybody have any new Ameraucauna's?
