BYC Café

I LOVE chocolate eclairs, sure that surprised everyone. One cafeteria I used to go to had huge ones for 75 cents - guess what I used my lunch money on. I still think I could have eaten a third one. But I get sensitive when people stare at me and murmur (not very quietly) "lookit the pig!" I never see any but, know one day they may be talking about me.

Thanks for the coffee Scott. It's even more delicious on a Friday.
We are getting some storms now, they started yesterday afternoon. Looks like it will rain all day today. But we have been pretty dry, so hopefully it won't hurt too badly. The temps are really dropping.

Did you get everything dug out of the mud?

I did reply to this post yesterday, and then my internet went silly.
Yes everything is demudded that needs demudded, thanks for asking.
Yes it is getting cooler here also, but still dry.
Morning! The coffee is oh so wonderful. DS$ is on his way. Sunday is the day to wrestle for him. I said, " Don't get sunburnt swimming or you are going to be super unhappy when it is your turn on the mat." Yet another informational message from your mother, dearie...... We still have snow on the north side ground from the last dusting!
I have one more day in eye jail and then I am free to be me again. I met my SIL for lunch yesterday and I bought some yummy dessert tea, Caramel Pecan so I have something to drink by the fire that won't keep me awake.
I hope everyone has a great day and does something fun! I know I can't be the only one out there living in the SeinfeldianTwilight Zone.
Motherism's, are often remembered after the fact, as I remember them.
Have A fun day being you after you get out of eye jail!

Morning Margie, WV and Scott! Woke up without a voice today, hoping the coffee with warm things up and get it going again.

Just firing up the computer to get connected to work, but later today I need to find a bakery. It's DHs birthday and he loves chocolate eclairs so I'd like to pick one up. There's a restaurant we go to that should have one.

We'll celebrate this weekend in Santa Fe.

I hope that you and DH had/have a Great Birthday weekend
Happy birthday to him!
Hi Ducky, hope that your show goes well.

Thanks! My access to BYC was down for a couple hours, but luckily my work wasn't affected by the cyberattacks.

Have a great weekend everyone.
My internet was silly most of Friday

Thanks for the coffee, Scott. It's great stuff - though this business of using it to swallow ibuprofen is getting old (I pulled a muscle in my lower back yesterday.

Or maybe I'm just getting old?

Never!!!

Saw this item in the news today.

To me, the idea of using a sound studio as the command center for the Red Cross is a stroke of genius. As it says in the article, the needs of a film production aren't very dissimilar to those of a Red Cross disaster relief operation, and the movie studio is conveniently located in a number of ways. Good job, guys!

Pouring rain again and it was last night too. It's been raining a lot lately. And you know, we had practically no rain all summer and now we almost have TOO much rain. Surely there must be a setting between drought and monsoon? :p
