Sounds nice! We are going to Erie, PA next week for Thanksgiving. Probably leaving Tuesday or Wednesday but it's supposed to snow so we'll see. Some might fly, I'm not sure. But it won't be as fun, it's probably a 9, 10 hour ride with the entire family and we haven't done a road trip in forever. Could be... interesting. I'll just put my headphones in

Yeah, I definitely feel bad for them. Especially the one guy who took off his vest and stuffed it in the wound.. this will probably haunt them all for the rest of their lives. I think it was his first day on the job too. Just terrible.

I used to have a great fear of coming across an accident in the middle of nowhere without any supplies to help. Made up a bag with forceps, saline, syringes, suture kits, bandages, etc to put in the car. Not that I could have saved anyone, but it made me feel better to have it there.

So sad for the victim, his family, and the coworkers on the job with him.

That's actually a really nice thought though that you even thought of having that there in case it was needed.

And yes I agree, so sad :(

That actually happened with my DH's family when he was in high school - they came across a car that had been sideswiped on a twisty mountain road. Both of DH's younger sisters were nursing students; his mother tried to get him to stay in the car while the girls rendered what aid they could. They flagged down a passing motorist and got them to go for help (no cell phones then!),

Construction is a dangerous occupation; those who do it for long see some nasty things.. How sad.
