Good morning! Hope everyone has a spectacular day. Snow sprinkles and wind today, go figure. Wrestling practice tonight and then resting up for the weekend. Anyone doing anything special this New Years? DS$ is wrestling at a national down in Denver and if he does well, we will be out of there later in the evening. At least the weather is supposed to cooperate......

Afternoon all,

its 16c and pouring with rain -actually quite nice to be a bit cooler after all that heat. My dishwasher broke - honestly you can take anything but not that - as it is 'German Precision Engineering' they can't fix it for a month as they have to import a part.

So spoilt myself and bought a new one- such a waste of money - but now have a back up if it does it again. I'm so very materialistic but don't care...

None of those Italian fruitcakes look like what we used to make. I have a pic somewhere.... if I can find it.

Wine in the dough (cheapest/sweetest red stuff worked the best), nuts, raisins, all rolled together.

M & M - I think I mentioned that my oldest grand son decided to not wrestle in college and went to a West coast school. While home for the holidays he mentioned that he is thinking of wrestling again and has been in contact with several coaches at East coast schools. When I asked why he was thinking about coming back home, he sheepishly said, "I really miss all of you." I am certain that includes the really sweet girl that he is dating.

Gotta have a dishwasher!! (I need a new one, we have really, really hard water!)

DH is doing well! Thanks for asking. Pain meds are wonderful, but he is already weaning himself from them. Went all night last night without one. JP drains come out on Friday!

WV, glad to hear your DH is doing so well. Hopefully weaning himself off the pain meds will keep him from getting inspired to do too much too soon; I know men can be bad about that.

That would be fun to have him back I bet. At least wrestling is a warm venue, not particularly windy..... You know where that ranks on my list these days.....
Is there a school with his field of study that also has wrestling close by (In general)?
