It is a nice 34°F (1.11°C) here and only rain so far.

The freezing line setup a little north of where they thought it would

We will get cold, but not for a few hours yet.
Both pots of coffee are started and hot water is ready.

Now the sleet has started about 30 Min's ago and it is now 32° on my outside thermometer.

Good morning Scott and Sir Sour. It is a balmy -9 here this morning. The tree is undecorated and headed out sometime today. DH is still sleeping, he was up til the wee hours of the morning smoking ribs for the party tonight. I guess I can let him sleep a little while longer

Time to throw another log on the fire and get another cup. Have a great day everybody! Stay warm!

Weather.com said snow showers at 9:15, and here they are.

Gloomy, gray, blustery and drizzly out there. Current radar picture makes it look like the precipitation is mostly out of here, which is a good thing, because the temperature is currently just above freezing and only supposed to go down from there. Critter is heading out shortly to throw salt on a couple of parking lots. It seems kind of silly to do it after the precipitation ends, but we had half an inch or so of rain overnight; it might have all gotten washed away if he had done it yesterday. The low tonight is supposed to be in the teens - for here, that's cold!

Snowed some last night and now this morning another storm has started. Supposed to get 12-14 inches I think. Blizzard. But I like the snow and it's light and fluffy so I don't mind. Might get less, I don't know. But with the way it's snowing right now I doubt it. It's been really warm so I'm glad we're finally getting a storm. But it's supposed to warm up to 20 or 30 tomorrow and then like 40 one day next week! Crazy

My brother in Durham sent me this, this morning. His chickens are not happy!
