Good morning everybody. Headed to town for some shopping, have to get ready for the game tomorrow.

We are back to the cold again, although the DH assures me it will warm up next week. He is leaving for Florida on Monday, so....


A new puppy will be entertaining for certain, it's been 10 years since we had a puppy in the house. And I'm sure it will be picture overload!

Thanks for the coffee; it's just what I needed.

Our forecast is just a little bit nicer than yours; a bit nicer than it was just last night, actually. Partly sunny instead of mostly cloudy, and we're supposed to get close to 60. After yesterday's high of 77o, it sounds a touch "cool," but for mid-January, it seems pretty warm and pleasant to me!

Puppy? A Golden Retriever puppy? Oooh, just waiting for the pics!

Exciting on the new puppy. Dani our golden is 8 - given their general lifespan we have another 4 + years with her. She is our third golden, and will very likely be the last house dog for us. Any puppy we got today would very likely outlive us.

Morning! The hot coffee is delightful to the throat. I am on the back side of this cold and pretty much over the whole idea of having a cold.....
A new puppy, a new set of puppy pics and stories, and I just get to read about it. You are going to give some of us puppy envy!

Good morning. Hoping to get all our errands run today before the expected 2 days of rain hits.

Good luck with the puppy, Miss Wiggles! We haven't had a puppy in decades, our last 3 dogs have been rescues, adopted as adults. Should be so much fun for you!

Good Morning Cafe! I brought oatmeal pecan cookies. They're the only cookie I can eat for breakfast. My friend brings them down every Christmas from a bakery 400mi north of here. I froze the whole lot of them & have been rationing them out like bits of gold. No matter how hard I try, I cant seem to make them like they do. Happy, safe weekend everybody!

Oh I know the thread. I haven't been on there in a while. I'll have to go check their catalog. Agreed about NFC! I've seen her there & on other threads & she's always very nice!!!

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh Puppy envy, that's what is troubling me. Nothing like a puppy (okay or human baby) to bring life & excitement to the fold. My last dogs made it to 14. I'm sure another would outlive me. Around the neighborhood someone was always getting a puppy that I could play with. Now they seem to have nothing but older dogs who don't want to play.
