Hey ya'll. I am Nicole from NW iowa mother of 5 and farm wife to my wonderful husband of 10yrs..we raise commercial turkeys..we have are own stock cows,bull,8 heifers and about 18 new calves..we have 16 chickens and 1 rooster,6cats and 2 dogs. We also have soybeans and corn fields. My chickens are not on my farm place due to the turkeys they live on my in laws farm..i spend ala la lot of time with them i enjoy them alot so do our girls. We love to camp,fish, well pretty much anything outdoors.

Well, right now I'm testing my patience because I have set 8 eggs from my flock and today I will see just how fertile my roo is.

He's 9/9 for previous hatches. The sun is refusing to come out today, but the rain is having no problems showing itself.

I am a goody two shoes. Adam ant wrote a song about me. (No, not really- but my friends said it was.)

'Special' brownies at my house just means more chocolate.

Eggs, these may not be extra chocolate but I think the brownies I posted last page may also count as special! (And hopefully yummy! I'll tell you once it's less hot! Though maybe I could just put the pan out and let it cook outside....)

I know, I bought a lot of salad makings yesterday, It is too hot for hot anything. On the way to the store we were in the cementiest part of our town and I could not get over how every blade of grass was grey, all of the landscape plantings were wilting. I can not imagine how dry it must be in SCal.
I heard people were losing their family Orchards and...

sad.
I'd be so sad my tears would be watering them and then the salt water would kill them twice.
