Morning! A very happy to be doing something DS$ headed off to school today. The swelling continues to decrease and I will see him at MS wrestling practice. Tomorrow is the first tournament and some of our 6th graders are a little nervous but we get our team T-shirts and I think having Joe there will help, despite the wrestling injury.

I have to go to a neighbor's house and get gardening stuff because they are moving and she is downsizing and would like me to have everything. So now I need to figure out where to put "everything" and that could be quite a feat. Snow and wind coming in. Luckily, I bought more coffee yesterday and DS$ got a new pair of school shoes too. The best thing I bought was a hay hook. Santa didn't bring me one or two, so I bought one for the meantime. I can't wait to use it....

We watched The Walking Dead re-runs yesterday but DH did flip over for the last few minutes of the game.

It's 39* here with a high expected to reach 41*.

Mornin' chicken friends, thanks for the coffee. Another long work day for me so I'll need it. Well being from New England we watched the craziest super bowl ever last night. So I'll need the cup of Joe to start my day for sure. Cold and windy this morning 29F with a high of only 34 today. Might as well earn some cash if I can't get any coop done anyway. Freezing rain/ice storm for tomorrow. Oh joy

Yes, a very good day! I'm going to fire up Little Red and fill in some dog holes and move a 15 foot planter onto the spot for raised bed Strawberry patch.

Hay hooks are a handy item to have hanging around.
Like grandpa's cane, you pop a critter with one and they remember it for awhile.
Good luck storing the extra freebies this time of year.

Good morning everyone. That was some game last night!

We are up to 17 deer visiting daily now. DH is bound and determined that he is going to feed everyone and make sure that we have a nice crop of healthy fawns this spring. I ordered him a pair of binoculars as a Valentine's gift, so he can start watching them a little more closely. I suspect a couple of them will have names before long! The turkeys are still visiting too. The dogs have given up barking at either, and when I let them outside the deer stare at them and then still off into the woods.

Cleaning today, I must attempt to be productive, I have a couple of cookie orders I'll need to start on Friday!

17 head is getting to be alot to be feeding.

I finally outsmarted the deer and they have not been back. Multiple fences around the hay so they get tangled if they try to sneak in.....
I don't want the deer here cause they will bring in The Kitty. The Kitty just might try to eat The Sheepie....
