I have IBS too. I can definitely relate to the pain. What used to be what triggered mine the worst was yeast. For some reason it doesn't seem to trigger it anymore. Maybe try cutting bread (and beer if you drink it) out of your diet.
I drink maybe 1-2 beer a month. I used to try to avoid bread because of carbs but i have not found that makes a difference. Spicy foods are bad, dairy products too. I do limit those but i eat some on occasion. I gave up soda, mostly gave up rum ( but i need some in my egg nog for Xmas). I have been trying to cut back on sugar as well. It is hard. Even catsup has sugar in it. Sigh. Maybe if i just ate white rice, fish and veggies i would feel better.

I have been trying to cut sugar and soda out too and just generally eat healthier! But it's hard and I haven't really even started yet i keep saying tomorrow tomorrow or do it one or two days

They say sugar is really addictive

I eat way more of it lately and also almost exclusively eat fast food (usually Wendy's or Taco Bell) for my meals. But i also wake up late and only eat one or two meals and a bunch of snacks, constantly snacking and eat way more sugary things lately haha i eat multiple high sugar things in a day now instead of just one.

Also i feel the salt is bad. I think it inflames my finger joints

KDOGG sounds like me. I usually get up very late (sometimes 4-5 pm) because I am active(on computer etc.) through the night & usually snacking(sugar stuff) ice cream etc. till 6-7 am.

When I do wake up, I call that dinner - I eat one meal a day and then have canned fruit as a snack, and/or Ore-Ida potatoes skim milk with Ovaltine. Sometimes just spoons of Ovaltine because it's usually the only chocolate I have available.

I think anything in excess can be bad. The problem with a lot of foods is that we don't know where they came from or where they were produced. I really want to up my intake of veggies and grow more of my own.

Wow I wouldn't have guessed you stayed up so late ha

But yes we sound much the same! Although I don't usually stay up quite that late now. The latest I usually do is like 3 or 4 and lately only like 2 cause i started classes again but yeah. Then I usually get up around 11 or 12 lately which isn't that late but kind of is. But sometimes I get up later. Like today I got up at 1:30. I've gotten up at 2 or 3 or even 4 a lot too this summer ha I mix in a few really late nights with more normal ones i guess hah and of course i am always going off around 9 or 10 and eating junk. Or like all afternoon or evening.

Now I have a 9am class and a 6pm one (different days) so I have to be on a more normal schedule haha 9am one is Friday too LOL

Very true. I want to do the same

Ok, I'll say it here for the first time...I have IBS too. For the longest time I thought it was a gluten intolerance issue but finally found a doc that figured it out. Seems to be a difficult issue to diagnose but with the right medication, can be helped. Best of luck to you CF.

Ick. That's not living as far as I'm concerned. I cut out pop a few months ago and had a regular normal "routine " for the first time in my life. Sadly, it only lasted a week or so and then it was back to the same. I guess I'm lucky. The horrendous pain is a rare occurrence for me for the past few years. I can eat bread again and really don't have to watch my diet (unless I'm wanting to lose weight of course). I remember when I was first diagnosed back in the 80s I was told to avoid coffee and chocolate. No way in sam he'll.
