BYC Café

Good Morning WVC , N F C and, the rest of you Café Peeps :frow
Thanks WVC, for the get-me-started this slow Monday morning. :hugs
It's a warm and wet morning here, Thanks to Nate. They say only 3 more days of rain before it's all done, this crap started Saturday evening and it has been misting/drizzling/sprinkling/raining most of the time ever since. :barnie
I hope that everybody has a good Monday morning!
Scott
We are getting the same weather here in VA. Just happy no tornadoes or forest fires like others are dealing with.

And a happy Thanksgiving Day to you Michelle! Do Canadians celebrate T.D. like us Americans (feast until we're stuffed then sit around napping in front of the tv)?
Yes, that is how we did Thanksgiving when we lived there. MIL always cooked and she makes wonderful desserts!

We do. Turkey, pumpkin pie and all the other yummies. Although sweet potatoes with marshmallows is not something you encounter. I know for me we watched baseball playoffs instead of football, but I do believe that the CFL schedules games for thanksgiving day.

Yep, sounds the same. Including the part about NO sweet potatoes with marshmallows (at least in our house) :sick

Morning everyone, thanks for the coffee WV.

Snow started falling yesterday afternoon, can't tell how much we have yet but it's enough to be long john and boot worthy. Our high is only going to be in the mid-30's today and tonight in the teens...guess that snow will be there for a little while anyway.
Sounds like winter is here John Snow.
We're supposed to get around 7cm starting tomorrow night. That's about 2.5 inches I think.

Need to get out to check on the chickens. For me, one of the biggest hassles of winter is piling on layer after layer of clothes...on, off, on, off. Bah!

I hate when the waterers freeze! I used to carry a hammer and a strainer to bash the ice in the goat drinkers if they didn't have a defroster in them. The birds had light bulbs close enough to the water they were able to drink. I always managed to get my hands wet and then they would turn white and then blue. So back inside to sit in front of the wood stove. Not looking forward to that.
