Dh is like that about his tractor. Every day he has to do something with the tractor. When he was unable to use it for a few days, he was miserable. I threatened to start a chapter of John Deere Anonymous. Funny thing, several wives around here said that if I started one, they'd enroll their husbands too.
I grew up on 40 acres with a prune orchard. We had a tractor but it was a tool for us, something to get work done with. It was very handy though!
Are you sure the tractor is not a symbol for work? That not being on it makes him feel like thngs are not getting done around the place?

We are funny that way but this attitude is not as common with then new generation.

Has @scottcaddy come up missing again? I haven't seen him lately.

It's been a week since he posted, but he's a busy guy.

Sad, but true. Ever think that maybe THEY are the lucky ones? A sense or responsibility Is a heck of a burden. :old

I know!
We had a diversity training class on the subject of Generational differences. I did not know that Millennials were like that! Then I noticed that the ones from that generation in my Department would take sick leave or vacation days as soon as they had some! On Guy would check his balance and if he had 4 hours would jump up and tell the boss He was taking the afternoon off!

My Generation does not do that but it is not necessarily a bad thing, but a generational thing. I would feel guilty but the new generation is more relaxed. They do get things done though..because they are less stressed out I suppose

Yes, he feels like he's accomplished something when he's been on his tractor, even if he hasn't really accomplished a darn thing. Too, it's fairly new, so it's more like his favorite toy. The parts for the pressure washer came in today. That will be his new favorite toy when he gets it done.

We do love our toys!

Good afternoon everyone :)
Yesterday we went into the city to do laundry. The weather was yucky. Our indoor/outdoor cats wouldn't go out so we left them in. One of them got angry and peed on my side of the bed. Luckily it was a memory foam overlay. Took that off, sprayed it with odoban (a product we can't buy in Canada) and set it by the wood stove.

I go to give water to the pigs this morning. The valve on the tank is frozen. No problem, I'll use the transfer pump. Transfer pump rip cord won't pull. It's now by the stove thawing out. No room to move in here now.
