Once the guys finish the goat shed, i will have a place to keep hay. They didn't show up today because they were at another job. Said he was sick. But when he takes all the tools home you get suspicious.

Well you're definitely going to beat them with the hoop coop if they keep doing things like that.

They are such slackers. Show up between 10 and noon, then leave at 3. So no wonder they can't finish a job.

@Treerooted I apologize if my last post came off a bit hot...I'm a nice person, really! That topic's just a hot button for me.

Ha, no worries NFC, it can be really hard not to generalize when you've had some bad experiences. Truth be told, you can go back thousands of years into history to find the "old guard" talking about the demise of the new. I think it's a write of passage into older age. And despite that, it seems everyone always thinks that "this time" it's different! And yet, the young grow old and think that their generation is much better then the new one. And so it goes!

When it comes to work ethic I really think that's more of a personality thing (which age can really factor into). There are plenty of middle-aged workers who don't do their best just like the plenty of millennials.
Life circumstances change through the years which can have broad implications for how a generation might similarly frame their world view (depression, war, technology changes, etc.), but people are still people and have been forever.

How's that for some rambling!

Sorry to come back to the cafe just to jump in waist deep - wasn't intending to!

It is hard to generalize. I remember when I was growing up in the 70s that my Generation was going to ruin the world because we were all lazy drug addicts. While that is always true, enough rise up in every generation to be leaders.

It is interesting to look at generational differences tough. The one before the Boomer was called Traditional. They lived through the depression and had the boomers around WW II. They are a lot different! Then the Boomers. I am at the end of the boomers so I do not quite fit in to that one.
